Job Description
Palliative Care Population Health Manager 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars Miami, FL Reviews and corrects DX codes by reviewing the Medical Records documentation. Assists in maintaining appropriate documentation. Investigate, analyze, and report any charge entry issues. Create and maintain productivity log. Coordinate with and become familiar with the demands and requirements of payors in each state. Assist the Palliative Care staff with billing corrections. Assist department management as necessary. Prepare accurate charges for submission to the appropriate insurance companies. Review itineraries for unbilled charges. Analyze and maintain required documentation for prompt and accurate billing and collection to include copies of bills, intake and medical records. Review and make all necessary corrections and adjustments as requested. Participate in audit controls as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Three to five years prior billing and collections experience. Certified in professional coding or equivalent training in both ICD 9 and ICD 10. Able to demonstrate proficiency in utilizing computers for internet access, navigation of practice management soft wares, as well as Outlook, Excel and Word. Ability to communicate tactfully, verbally and in writing with department heads, managers, coworkers and vendors to resolve problems and negotiate resolutions Working knowledge of computers, internet access, and the ability to navigate within an automated systems as well as a variety of software packages such as Excel and Word.
EDUCATION
High school or equivalency required. Coding Certification in ICD9 and
