Certified Medical Coder / Biller Position Available In Palm Beach, Florida

Certified Medical Coder / Biller Optimum RTS Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410 Please note that pay is commensurate with experience. If you are highly experienced we would love to speak with you. We represent two Medical Practices with the 1st – (Cardiology) located in Palm Beach Gardens and the 2nd ( Internal Medicine) located in Jupiter . They are searching for highly knowledgeable Certified Medical Coders ( Coding Certification is required). The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of medical billing experience, with cardiology and / or Internal Medicine experience a plus. Must be skilled in all of the following: Must be experienced with appeals and denials Certified Professional Coder – Required. EMR Required – Athena ( cardiology ) ECW ( internal medicine ) Posting insurance and patient payments. Reviews claim prior to submitting to the insurance carriers Obtain patient payments Reviews information necessary for insurance claims such as patient, insurance ID, diagnosis and treatment codes and modifiers, and provider information. Insures claim information is complete and accurate Submits insurance claims Prepares patient statements for charges not covered by insurance. Insures statements are mailed on a regular basis. Work with patients to establish payment plan for past due accounts in accordance with provider policies. CPT and ICD-10 coding rules and guidelines Fundamentals of coding Must be able to work in the office, no remote work. Athena experience would be a plus.
