With four locations across Palm Beach County, our dedicated team includes eighteen fellowship-trained orthopaedic physicians and over 100 support staff, committed to providing exceptional care and advanced treatment options. Summary We are seeking a Specialist to join our dynamic team at Palm Beach Orthopaedic Institute. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting our medical operations and ensuring the highest standards of patient care. Your expertise will help us maintain our reputation as the premier orthopaedic physician group in the region.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for entering all charges from each patient encounter form for each patient visit; ensuring correct CPT codes are entered for services rendered. Responsible for running unbilled encounter report (encounter note to justify missing ticket or other problems). Responsible for collecting patient payments; explaining insurance allowables and patient responsibility due for services rendered. Responsible for posting all payments into system; creating daily payment batches; reconciling daily charges and payments posted; create / turn in daily cash deposits; reconcile cash box daily. Responsible for scanning encounter forms into the system on a daily basis; ensuring they are legible in the system. Responsible for HIPPA compliance.

Performance Requirements:

Proven experience in a medical office setting, preferably within orthopaedics or similar fields. Strong knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10

coding systems, and medical billing practices. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing medical records. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients and healthcare professionals. Familiarity with AthenaNet (EMR) systems is a plus.
