Job Summary:
We are seeking two experienced and detail-oriented Medical Billers/Coders/Collectors to join our team in Altamonte Springs, FL. The ideal candidates will have at least 3 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and collections. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate coding, compliance with billing practices, and the efficient resolution of claims to support optimal revenue cycle management.
Key Responsibilities:
Medical Billing & Coding:
Accurately apply ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes to diagnoses, procedures, and services Review medical records and provider documentation for coding accuracy Submit clean claims to insurance companies and follow up on denials, rejections, and unpaid claims Identify and resolve discrepancies between documentation and billing data
Compliance & Documentation:
Stay up-to-date with coding guidelines, payer rules, and healthcare regulations Ensure documentation supports accurate and complete coding Collaborate with providers, payers, and internal teams to resolve billing or coding-related issues
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required Medical Billing & Coding certification preferred CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist) preferred
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in medical billing, coding, and collections Familiarity with risk adjustment and CMS guidelines is a plus
Technical Skills:
Proficiency with EHR systems (eClinicalWorks and Office Ally preferred) Strong knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
Soft Skills:
