- Position Summary
- : We are seeking a dedicated Medical Billing, Coding and Revenue Specialist with experience in billing Medicare and handling procedure codes for wound care and transitional care services. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the billing cycle, including posting payments, managing claims, and rebilling denials.
- Key Responsibilities
- : Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses for wound care and transitional care services.
Bill and submit claims to Medicare and other insurance carriers. Post payments and adjustments to patient accounts. Rebill denied claims and follow up on any outstanding issues to ensure timely reimbursement. Stay up-to-date with Medicare billing regulations and coding guidelines. Collaborate with the medical staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing compliance. Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring proper claim resolution.
- Qualifications
- : Proven experience in medical billing and coding, particularly with Medicare.
Familiarity with ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS codes, with a focus on primary care and wound care. Proficient in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems Strong knowledge of billing procedures, payment posting, and denial management. Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and organizational skills. Certification in medical billing and coding (preferred but not required).
