The ideal candidate will be responsible for submitting claims and following up with insurance companies to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for medical services provided. Responsibilities Utilize knowledge of medical billing, coding, and terminology to process claims Review and verify accuracy of billing data and revise any errors Follow up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle timeframe Investigate and appeal denied claims Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance guidelines and regulations Communicate with healthcare providers, patients, and insurance companies regarding billing issues Requirements Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health records systems Strong understanding of ICD-10, ICD-9, and CPT coding principles Experience in medical collections is a plus Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent communication and organizational skills
