The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding of medical records, and facilitating timely collections. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our practice while ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Responsibilities Review and analyze medical records to ensure accurate coding and billing. Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 coding systems to assign appropriate codes for diagnoses and procedures. Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement. Follow up on unpaid claims and manage the medical collection process. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, billing regulations, and coding guidelines. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in billing information. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations related to medical billing. Skills Proficiency in medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems. Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding practices, including DRG (Diagnosis Related Group). Experience with medical records management and the ability to interpret clinical documentation. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives. Knowledge of billing regulations and compliance standards within the healthcare industry.
