Pre-Certification Specialist (Full Time) Carolina Orthopaedic & Sports Medicine Center 2345 Court Dr, Gastonia, NC 28054 Seeking team player with a strong customer service focus and commitment. This position is responsible for obtaining pre-certifications and pre-authorizations for inpatient and outpatient procedures per provider’s orders. This position requires attention to detail, exceptional time management skills, the ability to stay focused and organized with acute attention to detail. Individual must be organized, and be able to manage a demanding workload with accuracy.

This individual must have a minimum 2 years of experience in the medical office setting, preferably in medical authorizations. Knowledge of medical terminology, CPT coding, ICD-10 diagnosis familiarization, and insurance practices. Knowledge of computer programs and applications. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, and punctuation to type, review and edit reports, documentation and correspondence. Must demonstrate consistent professional conduct and meticulous attention to detail. Must have knowledge of medical terminology and insurance practices.
