Delaney Radiology is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Payment Posting Representative to join our team! The Payment Posting Representative plays a key role in ensuring the accuracy and transparency of payment transactions within the accounts receivable process. Their primary responsibility is to accurately post payments, process adjustments, document denials from insurance companies, and maintain proper audit trails. By facilitating accurate payment processing, the Payment Posting Representative supports our commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

Accurately post insurance payments, credit card transactions, ERS, and patient payments to individual patient accounts, ensuring that the correct amounts are applied Contact third-party payers and patients for clarification before posting to unidentified accounts and follow up on these inquiries weekly Scan lockbox and correspondence documents into TrueIce, then post payments via EOB Payment Posting Maintain accurate records and audit trails for all payment transactions, including adjustments, denials, and any payments posted to interest or other accounts Perform daily reconciliation of posted payments to ensure that all transactions match the actual payments received, addressing any discrepancies immediately Verify that payments and adjustments are applied according to payer contracts and patient billing agreements, ensuring high accuracy and completeness in postings

Requirements:

Proven knowledge of medical billing procedures, contracted insurance policies, and fee schedules Minimum 1 year of customer service experience in a medical environment Understanding of medical terminology and procedures, preferably as it relates to Radiology Must possess strong communication skills, empathy, and patience Attention to detail and accuracy are essential in this position, as is a commitment to confidentiality.
