Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Revenue Cycle Specialist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of patient care, ensuring accurate billing, collections, and coding processes. This position requires a strong understanding as well as the ability to navigate complex billing scenarios effectively. Responsibilities Process and review medical billing claims to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulations. Manage accounts receivable by following up on outstanding claims and payments. Work with insurance companies on denied claims. Ensure quick response and work on denials and appeals Benefits investigation and prior authorizations for specialty services. New Patients and follow-up eligibility verification. Verify Eligibility and relay coverage and patient responsibility to patient Managing Patient billing. Conduct medical collections while maintaining positive patient relationships. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve discrepancies in billing or coding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology, billing systems, and relevant regulations. Instruct and ensure payments due by patients are fully collected by front desk staff. Monitor if payments meet contractual and expected rates. Cover check-in/check-out and schedule Patients as needed. Ensure and or instruct to keep the schedule filled up. Prepare reports on revenue cycle performance metrics for management review. Assist in training new staff on revenue cycle processes and best practices. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing, coding, or related roles within a medical office setting. Familiarity with medical collection practices and procedures. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and billing software. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals. Candidate must have prior experience in working at a medical practice, multi-task, must be pleasant with upbeat personality, possess excellent communication and coordination skills.
