Medical Biller Wayne Radiologists, PA 2700 Medical Office Place, Goldsboro, NC 27534 Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Medical Biller to join our radiology practice. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately filing insurance claims, collecting payments, posting payments and insurance follow-up. This role is crucial in facilitating the financial operations of our practice and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Duties Process and submit medical billing claims to insurance companies and patients. Posting of insurance payments from EOBs and electronic remittances. Follow up on unpaid and denied claims. Communicate with insurance companies to resolve billing issues, denials, claim rejections and filing appeals when appropriate. Consult insurance portals to confirm patient eligibility and investigate denied claims. Collect, process and post patient payments. Assist in the collection of outstanding payments from patients and insurance companies. Maintain organized medical records while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations. Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients regarding billing inquiries. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding practices, and insurance reimbursement policies. Job Requirements & Skills At least 2 years of medical billing experience. Radiology billing experience preferred. Experience with all types of insurance and the use of insurance websites. Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of medical office operations. Strong knowledge of the entire billing cycle from claim submission to A/R follow-up. Good understanding of deductibles, copays and coinsurance with the ability to read and interpret EOBs and claim information. Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a high-volume environment. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, for providing excellent customer service to our patients. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and electronic billing software.
