Duties include but are not limited to:

• Knowledge and experience in medical billing
• Knowledge of CPT and ICD-10
• knowledge of medical terminology
• Review and prepare claims for electronic billing submission
• management of accounts receivable
• Insurance & Patient Collections
• Insurance verification
• data entry
• follow-up on unpaid claims, denial management, filing appeals and posting charges
• Respond to patient calls and answer billing questions as needed
• Collect outstanding patient balances and set up payment plans for patients
• Obtaining referrals and pre-authorizations as required
• Checking eligibility and benefits verification for treatments
• Following up on unpaid claims within standard billing cycle time frame
• Knowledge of insurance guidelines including HMO/PPO, Medicare, Medicaid, and other payer requirements and systems.

Skills:

• 3+ years Experience
• Strong attention to detail
• -Ability to work in a fast paced environment and multitask
• prior experience of EMR (Practice Suite/Practice Fusion experience a plus)
• competency using computer systems, software, and 10 key calculators
• Salary commensurate with experience
