Requirement:

Certification as a Registered Health Information Technician by AHIMA. Associates degree in Health Information management Desired skills: Able to code diagnosis and services rendered from paper charts using ICD and CPT nomenclature.

Knowledge of Health Information Management Duties/Responsibilities:

Job Duties in brief code diagnosis and services from the chart using ICD and CPT nomenclature and classification. Quantitative analysis of discharged chart for completeness. Copy records to respond to request for patient’s Health information with required proof. Assemble large amount of documents in a specific order, keep information confidential. Must be able to answer questions clearly and respond to phone calls. Must be able to write responses to question in reports and in email. Background check verification and fingerprint verification will be done by the departments. •The candidate will be responsible for the fingerprint verification fees i.e. $70 •
