Medical Biller The Forum Group Cedarhurst, NY 11516 Our client is a private pediatrician practice located in Cedarhurst, NY. They are seeking a Medical Biller to join their team! This person will be responsible for preparing, submitting and following up on medical claims.

Schedule:

Monday•Thursday 9am-5pm, Friday 9am•2pm Job type: Long-term temporary

Pay:

$23•25 an hour

Job Duties:

Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies for reimbursement. Review and verify patient medical records for completeness and accuracy. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims, working diligently to resolve any issues. Maintain organized records of all billing activities and communications. Collaborate with medical staff to clarify any discrepancies in patient records or billing information. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations, coding guidelines, and insurance policies. Skills Proficiency in medical billing processes and procedures. Must have experience working with UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Empire , Medicaid (Filedlis, Healthfirst, Anthem) Must be able to know how to re-submit rejected claim Strong knowledge of

ICD-10, ICD-9, DRG

coding, and medical terminology. Experience with medical collections and understanding of the revenue cycle. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and other medical office software. Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills. Effective communication skills for interacting with patients, providers, and insurance representatives. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
