Job Description
Description We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Medical Collections Specialist. In this role, you will be responsible for managing outstanding patient balances, resolving billing discrepancies, and ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies and patients.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Follow up on outstanding medical claims with insurance payers and patients + Investigate and resolve denied or unpaid claims + Communicate with insurance carriers, patients, and internal departments regarding account status + Process appeals and submit necessary documentation as needed + Maintain accurate records of collection activity in accordance with company policies and industry regulations + Assist with billing inquiries and payment posting when necessary
Requirements Qualifications:
+ Previous experience in medical collections, billing, or revenue cycle is preferred + Knowledge of insurance claim processes and denial management a plus + Strong communication and problem-solving skills + Ability to work independently and manage time effectively + Familiarity with medical terminology and billing systems (e.g., EPIC, Cerner, or similar) is helpful Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
