Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team at High Peaks Medicine PLLC. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the billing process, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with industry standards. Your contributions will be vital in supporting our healthcare providers and enhancing patient care. Responsibilities Process medical billing claims accurately and efficiently. Utilize ICD-10 and ICD-9 codes for proper documentation and coding. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical terminology and billing regulations. Review patient records to ensure all necessary information is included for billing. Handle medical collections and follow up on outstanding claims. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies in billing. Ensure compliance with federal regulations and payer requirements. Requirements Proven experience in medical billing and coding, preferably in a healthcare setting. Strong understanding of medical terminology and coding systems (ICD-10, ICD-9). Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Familiarity with Medent, electronic health record (EHR), system is a plus.
