We are actively seeking a Medical Billing Representative to join a stable healthcare team. The ideal candidate would have previous experience in medical billing, excellent written and verbal communication, knowledge of third party billing, and knowledge of different insurance plans. salary:
$17.5 – $18.5 per hour
shift: First
work hours: 7:30 AM – 5 PM
education: High School Responsibilities Insurance verification for all Provider schedules (by assigned work split).
Contacts third party payers to determine status of payments and supply additional information if needed. Investigate all claim denials and delays. Pursue appeals through proper channels with the insurance companies within his/her responsibility.
Secures needed medical documentation required or requested by third party insurances.
Receives, processes and responds promptly to daily correspondence from third party payers and/or patients to provide and receive requested information for processing claims.
Processes denials. Corrects any billing/posting errors and resubmits claims to third party insurance carriers.
Works with insurance carriers or patients to resolve any delinquent payment issues.
Works with management on any issues/trends with denials.
Keeps updated on all third party billing requirements and changes for insurance type within his/her area of responsibility.
Verifies benefits for in-office procedures/office appointments and notifies patients of estimated patient liability for the appointment. Skills
