The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate billing and coding for medical services provided to patients. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, coding systems, and the ability to manage medical records efficiently. Duties Review and verify patient information and insurance details for accuracy. Process pediatric medical billing claims using appropriate coding systems, including ICD-9 and ICD-10. Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards in all billing practices. Maintain accurate medical records and documentation for all billing transactions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to billing. Utilize knowledge of Diagnosis Related Groups (DRG) for proper coding and billing procedures. Follow up on unpaid claims and manage accounts receivable effectively. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Experience Proven experience in pediatrics medical billing or coding within a medical office environment is preferred EHR, Office practicum/ Instamed /Availity . Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and medical billing software is essential. Strong understanding of medical terminology, coding practices, and insurance policies. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills are required for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team setting is important.
