1st Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233 Nathan & Nathan PC is growing! We are in search of a full time Docket Clerk – Mississippi to join our team in our Birmingham, AL office. We are a creditors’ rights firm that is looking for competitive, self-starters that enjoy working in a fast-paced environment.
Position Role:
The main role of the docket clerk is to ensure that attorneys are adequately prepared for their court appearances for the state of Mississippi in which we operate out of our Birmingham office.
Responsibilities:
Preparing Packets for Attorneys to take to court Reviewing court dates and case settings in order to prepare proper documents. Entering docket dates in the system of record Calling courts as needed about the court setting Pulling court dates from case management system and court website to ensure the data matches Checking Service Securing coverage for each appearance, whether it is internal coverage or appearance counsel Preparing Motions Entering notes into the case management system, such as judgments, case reset, case set for trial, witness requests. Prepare Voluntary Disclosures Other duties as assigned.
Skills:
Excel Data entry Detail Oriented Organized Excellent Communication Skills – with both internal and external partners, both verbal and written
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent Legal experience preferred. Experience using Excel, Outlook, Alacourt, and Pacer
