Full Job Description Description:
Maintain tennis and pickleball courts and areas adjacent to courts; maintain and repair tennis maintenance machines and equipment.
Qualifications:
Formal Education:
High School diploma preferred.
Skills:
Not required, willing to train
Knowledge & Certificates:
Knowledge of machinery, valid Driver’s License and clean driving record.
Experience:
Prior Tennis/Pickleball Court Maintenance experience preferred but not required.
Reports to:
Director of Racquet Sports Job Duties:
Tennis/Pickleball Courts & Facility 1. Waters, rolls, drags surface, and sweeps lines of clay courts. 2. Builds up low spots, shaves high spots, dusts, lay clay on all clay courts when needed. 3. Keeps court tapes, nets, fences and gates in good condition. Install and repair nets, fences, etc. on an as needed basis 4. Applies calcium chloride on clay courts. 5. Blows sidewalks; empties trash from court and facility receptacles. 6. Maintains court coolers, ice chest, and tennis shoe cleaners. 7. Cleans shop windows. 8. Does tennis shop building maintenance i.e. gutters, lights, sidewalks. 9. Blows and cleans terrace areas. 10. Puts chairs and tables in neat order on deck and court patios. 11. Replenishes supplies such as ice, towels, and cups. 12. Trims grass at court edges, and prevents weed growth at court edges. 13. Cleans court drainage gutters, drains, and catch basins; installs, takes down, and repairs court wind screens. 14. Keeps desk personnel informed as to court conditions. 15. Sets up the ball machine when asked. 16. Checks and maintains sprinkler heads on all courts. 17. On a daily basis, notifies Director of Racquet Sports on the court conditions at 6:15 a.m. 18. Tunes, changes oil, greases, and fuels maintenance machines and equipment. 19. Repairs machines and replaces defective or worn parts of all maintenance machines. 20. Fills in on member’s games if able to play tennis. 21. Handles the Tennis Safety Checklist and coordinates with the Head Tennis Professional on any actions that are required. 22. Keeps tools, equipment and work area neat and tidy. 23. Performs any additional tasks when requested by Director of Racquet Sports.

Must work with co-workers as a team and facilitate same. 6. Must be able to communicate well with others. 7. Must be able to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines. 8. Must follow requests of supervisors without question unless in conflict with club policies or legal regulations. 9. Must present a neat appearance, possess a pleasant personality and wear professional attire. 10. Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, reach overhead, push, pull and lift ten (10) pounds.

Sander Working Conditions:
