Two years of progressively responsible experience in accounting, internal control assessment, financial compliance, risk, and audited financial statements. Recruitment Notes The Financial Controls and Policy Coordinator is responsible for documenting the organization’s policies and procedures and assisting with implementing effective internal controls based on the COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations of the Treadway Commission) Internal Control-Integrated Framework. Responsibilities include but not limited to the Development and management of a document management system to track, update, and publish the organization’s accounting and financial reporting policies and procedures. Collaborates with transaction cycle owners and control liaisons to maintain and improve a system that ensures financial policies and procedures are current and effective. Supports the Financial Controls and Policy Administrator in coordinating responses to controls testing, as well as addressing findings from regulatory, external, and internal audits. This position resides within the Clerk of the Court and Comptroller’s County Accounting and Reporting Support division and reports directly to the Financial Controls and Policy Administrator. In addition, this position assists the Financial Reporting section with designing, writing, and maintaining financial policies and procedures specific to the organizational needs.
