JOB SUMMARY/ DESCRIPTION

The Osceola County Comptroller & Clerk of Circuit Court is looking to hire a highly motivated individual willing to grow and develop within a fast-paced environment driven by a culture of service. We are looking for an individual to provide clerical support to the Clerk and Comptroller in his role as Clerk to the Board of County Commissioners.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Perform specialized clerical work involving recordkeeping of documents approved by the Board of County Commissioners (BCC). Process ordinances, resolutions, contracts, and other documents from BCC meetings. Perform Value Adjustment Board functions. Communicate effectively with management, government officials, and staff. Record data and ensure that documents are stored, filed, and maintained correctly. Assist with projects to support administrative processes of the Clerk of the Board Department. Perform other duties as assigned.

SKILLS & ABILITIES

Type 35 WPM Computer skills and knowledge of software applications. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong interpersonal skills. Time management and organizational skills. Compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Bilingual (preferred)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or GED. Preferred, three (3) years of responsible experience in clerical/secretarial support functions, to include applied knowledge in recording minutes and maintaining records, or Equivalent combination of certification, training, and/or experience. Must possess a valid Florida Driver’s License. May need to meet Clerk’s testing requirements.
