General Responsibilities:

Under close supervision of the departmental supervisors, perform a variety of simple to moderately complex clerical work relating to legal procedures in Circuit and County Court.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • High school diploma or its equivalent required; and
  • At least one (1) year experience in clerical work preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
  • Thorough knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
  • Working knowledge of modern office methods, techniques, practices, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite applications and Adobe DC.
  • Skill to operate with appropriate speed and accuracy a computer, printer, and standard office business machines including, but not limited to, a calculator, copier, scanner, and fax.
  • Ability to type 35 correct words per minute.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a prompt, courteous, and professional manner.
  • Ability to develop and maintain good working relationships.
  • Ability to understand and follow simple to moderately complex oral and written instructions.
  • Ability to prepare and maintain a variety of simple to moderately complex records, compile data, and prepare reports.
