out of 5 stars 400 Royal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130 The Clerk’s Office of the Louisiana Supreme Court seeks an Assistant Clerk to perform a variety of specialized clerical and secretarial duties, which include processing cases; verifying compliance with court rules; and entering, retrieving and compiling legal information. Will also be responsible for assisting the public at the counter, stamping filed documents, and entering a high volume of case data with accuracy into a computer system. Additional duties may include preserving and organizing legal records – ensuring all records all accurately maintained, easily accessible, and in compliance with all archival statutory regulations and internal policies. Three years progressively responsible clerical experience required – legal office or court experience preferred. Completion of a paralegal or legal assistant studies program from an accredited college or a program approved by the American Bar Association can be substituted for experience.
