Min T/E Requirements The successful candidate will have a master’s degree in a relevant discipline or Juris Doctor from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience demonstrating a clear understanding of Title IX, the intersection of VAWA, and the Clery Act. Demonstrated experience in compliance administration, investigative work, and interpreting and applying policy. Recruitment Range Commensurate with Education and Experience Anticipated Hiring Range Commensurate with Education and Experience Position #: 3225 Primary Purpose of Position Serves as the university’s Title IX Coordinator, as defined by the US Department of Education, and oversees the university’s effort for compliance with Title IX and related laws and regulations and ensures the accuracy of institutional data and required reports. Job Description This position is eligible for a sign-on bonus. To be eligible for a sign-on bonus, the candidate must not have worked as a probationary, permanent, or time-limited employee in the last 12 months as an employee in North Carolina state government subject to the State Human Resources Act. Reporting to the university General Counsel, the Director of Title IX plays a critical role in ensuring legal compliance. This position supervises the Office of Title IX office staff. Serves as the university’s Title IX Coordinator, as defined by the US Department of Education, and provides leadership and guidance on matters of Title IX compliance and oversees the implementation, administration, and monitoring of university’s compliance with Title IX and related laws and regulations and ensures the accuracy of institutional data and required reports.
