Housing Occupancy Aide Dover Housing Authority 62 Whittier Street, Dover, NH 03820 Company Overview The Dover Housing Authority is an independent municipal corporation dedicated to enhancing community welfare through the provision of quality housing opportunities. We work in collaboration with public and private partners to secure supportive services for individuals with limited incomes. Summary Under the direction of the Director of Occupancy and indirect supervision of the Deputy Executive Director and Executive Director, the Occupancy Aide assists the Occupancy Department with the goal of achieving maximum efficiency, compliance, residency and rent collection. will play a key role in administrative tasks, ensuring efficient operations and positive interactions with our clients.
Responsibilities:
Provides support to Occupancy Department staff by: Answering and responding to telephone inquiries and prepare written correspondence as needed. Schedule unit walkthroughs as appropriate with prospective residents. Assists management with tenant disputes and conflict resolutions Prepares necessary recertification packages and supplemental documents Scan and upload files into appropriate document management system Collect and enter monthly rents and reconcile accounts with the office staff. Assist in unit and grounds inspections Enforce Tenant/Landlord Lease Send delinquent rent notices, counsel tenants delinquent in rent payments Comply with fair housing and tenant/landlord law. Refers program participants to services offered by other community-based organizations. Monitors Enterprise Income Verification (EIV) system; print monthly reports for Occupancy Department Handles documents of a sensitive nature and maintains confidentiality. Participates in training. Assist in front desk coverage when Receptionist is out of office. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Proven experience in an administrative role, preferably within housing or property management. High school diploma or GED certificate General experience in public housing and/or rental assistance programs. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficient in using computer software Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
