About the
Role:
As a Compliance Clerk, you will complete quarterly and bi-annual registrations for convicted sex offenders residing in Lexington County. You’ll verify and update records, collect applicable registry fees, and support investigative efforts to address non-compliance. Your accuracy and attention to detail will help ensure critical data is maintained in our systems and shared across law enforcement partners.
Schedule:
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Conduct offender registration updates, including addresses, employment, vehicles, and contact infoCapture updated photos and fingerprintsAssess and collect registry feesRun criminal histories, driver’s license checks, and vehicle registrationsAssist the Sex Offender Investigator by flagging non-compliant casesMaintain and update the Offender Watch database and physical filesRespond to offender relocation notices and notify appropriate personnel across the county
SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION
This position involves light physical work, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasional lifting (up to 20 lbs.). This role requires strong interpersonal communication, critical thinking, and accurate data entry skills.
