Carbon Hill – School Secretary Walker Co Board of Education Carbon Hill, AL Classified Position –
School Secretary Secretary:
Under the direction of the principal. The Secretary must perform a variety of clerical and support work involving both specific routines and broadly defined policies and procedures involving, but not limited to: greeting and interacting with the public, working cooperatively with staff, students, and parents, and performing other related duties as assigned.
Additional requirements include:
computer skills, hold a high school diploma, possess the ability to communicate effectively and help others, have a successful work background, the ability to maintain clerical records and prepare simple reports, the ability to learn and interpret rules, regulations, laws and instructions. Additional duties/tasks/activities may be assigned by the principal. Reports to Principal Duty Days – 202 Salary – •Applicants selected for certified positions must have undergone an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and been declared suitable and fit to teach under state law.
