Position Overview:
Under the general supervision of the School Principal, the applicant will facilitate student success and growth in academic and interpersonal skills through implementing district approved curriculum; document teaching and student progress/activities/outcomes; address specific educational needs of individual students and create a flexible, safe and optimal learning environment; and provide feedback to students, parents, and administration regarding student progress, expectations, goals, etc.
Responsibilities:
Makes and receives telephone calls, takes messages, routes calls.
Maintains school records and files for the building and principal.
Distributes mail.
Greets visitors.
Responds to inquiries from students, teachers, parents, and the community.
Compiles and submits a variety of daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly reports, as assigned.
Types, prepares, distributes, and files records, reports, correspondence, mailings, etc.
Orients substitute teachers and processes substitute attendance for payroll.
Processes staff attendance for payroll.
Provides appropriate first aid needs in the absence of the school nurse; administers medication according to policy and regulations in the absence of the school nurse.
Schedules use of the building.
Orders, processes, and maintains office supplies and equipment.
Attends professional development training as scheduled.
Assists with maintenance of student scheduling and master schedule.
Assists with the registration of students and data entry of student information.
Processes requisitions and purchase orders.
Enters student attendance records into Eschool on a daily basis and processes parental notifications as assigned.
Register new students by verifying residency, eligibility, credit level status, immunization, etc., and enter data into a computerized student record system.
Manage student record system by transferring and withdrawing students, receiving and sending records, creating/generating/changing student class schedules, maintaining files and generating reports • Maintain student files.
Arrange student and parent conferences with counselors.

Serve as a strong advocate for the school district, promoting its values and achievements both internally and in the broader community.
Maintain a positive attitude and actively contribute to a supportive and constructive work environment, avoiding negativity.
Demonstrate reliable attendance to maximum student instruction and enhance learning outcomes.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Ability to lift at least 30 pounds.
Ability to provide physical assistance to students in emergency situations, including evacuations or lockdowns.
Must have the stamina and agility required to care for active students in a school setting.
Work Environment:
Works in standard office and school building environments.
Travels to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.
May be required to provide student behavior support using appropriate restraint or seclusion techniques for student safety purposes.
