Administrative Assistant State of Connecticut Judicial BranchHartford The State of Connecticut Judicial Branch is seeking anAdministrative Assistant to supervise assigned staff in performingsuch work as: data terminal operation, court data managementincluding data organization and retrieval, and production offinished data records; preparation and maintenance of case filesand information for presentation in court; assisting clients,attorneys, pro se parties and members of the public in completingprocedural papers and by explaining court procedures andcourt-ordered conditions of compliance; preparing documents such asreports, correspondence, notifications to parties, records andactivity logs; performing such clerical work as typing, filing andgeneral office support. Incumbents may supervise staff in posting,compiling and reconciling accounting support data such as accountspayable, receivable and payroll processing. Positions may beassigned to perform specialized or technical work such as:planning, scheduling and overseeing the installation oftelecommunications systems; assisting in the administration ofBranch-wide purchasing; overseeing the management of complex andsensitive case files, including reviewing file content forcompleteness and providing instruction to support staff in propercase file development for the courts.
Salary Range:
$63,137 -$81,998/year – plus State of Connecticut benefits. New employeesbegin at the minimum. The starting salary for existing stateemployees may be higher than the minimum, in accordance withexisting Judicial Branch policy. EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING
General Experience:
Five years of experience in administrative support, accountingsupport, or court support work.
Substitutions Allowed:
Collegetraining may substitute for the General Experience on the basis offifteen semester hours equaling one-half year of experience to amaximum of two years for an Associate’s degree.
SpecialRequirements:
