Graduate Assistant – Finance & Administration Office Graduate Assistant –

Finance & Administration Office Department:

Office of the Vice President for Finance and Administration/CFO

Term:

Fall 2025 and Spring 2026

Hours/Week:

10-15 hours/week for 15 weeks each semester Position Summary The Finance & Administration office is seeking a highly motivated Graduate Assistant to provide general office support as well as assist in the development of updating the policies and procedures within the division as needed. Responsibilities Include
Office coverage as needed
Answer phones, take messages, and direct calls to the appropriate person
Greeting visitors in a professional manner
Work with members within the Division of Finance and Administration to schedule meetings and document updated policies and procedures
Pick up checks as needed from Accounts Payable office
Completing special projects as assigned
Ideal Candidate
An enrolled, matriculated SCSU graduate student during the time of employment
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Proficient in Word, Excel, OneNote, and PowerPoint
Available to work 10-15 hours/week and must be during regular business hours (i.e. 8:30 to 4:30pm, Monday-Friday)
