Mon•Thursday, 8:30am to 5:00pm and Friday 8:30am to 12:00pm
Salary Range:
Grade 4, 35.5 hours per week: $20.41•$28.82 per hour The Town of Madison is accepting applications for the position of Administrative Assistant to the Department Madison Youth & Family, 35.5 hours per week. Perform Essential Job Functions:
High School diploma or equivalent with vocational/technical training in Secretarial Science or related field with three (3) years of related administrative experience or any combination of education and experience that provides equivalent knowledge, skills and abilities. A valid Driver’s license is required along with the successful completion of a background investigation.
Position Purpose:
This position plays a critical role within a dynamic Town department that values teamwork and creativity. To provide administrative and confidential support to the Madison Youth & Family Department. Position integral to the functioning of the Department. Wide variety of duties including, but not limited to: primary contact with the public, monitor staffing and scheduling, maintaining department databases, assisting with budget preparation, administer financial operations, including payables and receivables, requisitions; prepares minutes and agendas, legal notices; create/process work orders; order department supplies and materials; provide office coverage. Receives, verifies, process and enters, scans and indexes permits; post receipts and calculates deposits. Researches information for the Director. Schedules and coordinates meetings, and events. May be asked to assist with updating brochures and manuals. Observes strict confidentiality in maintaining files.
