Gainesville, FL Alachua Habitat for Humanity (AHFH) is looking to hire a Construction Administrative Assistant to join our industry-leading team. AHFH has been in Gainesville for over 39 years. Previous experience in the construction industry is required. Great communication, organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task, and self-motivation are imperative.

Requires a minimum of (3) years’ experience in the Construction Industry and/or as a Construction Administrative Assistant. Computer Skills – Proficient with Microsoft Office, DocuSign. BuilderTrend, Job Tread, and QuickBooks experience is preferred. Able to Identify and resolve issues with confidence. Organized and able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently to meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment. Excellent communication skills and interpersonal abilities. Accuracy and attention to detail.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Collect and organize the necessary documents required for permit applications, and address any required corrections or amendments. Review, approve, code and generate purchase orders based on received invoices. Process and submit environmental reviews. Support Construction team including estimating costs, and scheduling inspections. Utilize Construction Software with day to day operations. Procure materials for all construction projects in a timely and cost-effective manner. Coordinate the delivery of materials to construction sites as required. Communicate with subcontractors to coordinate project schedules, material requirements and invoicing. Participate on build sites once a week to oversee volunteers, providing supervision and guidance as necessary. Execute additional tasks and projects as directed by the Director of Construction.
