The IT Staging and Projects Administrator is responsible for managing the preparation, configuration, and deployment of IT equipment and systems to support business operations. This role ensures that IT hardware and software are correctly staged before deployment and that IT projects are effectively coordinated to meet business requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in IT asset management, project coordination, and system deployment.
Requirements:
Oversee the staging, configuration, and testing of IT hardware, including desktops, laptops, servers, and mobile devices. Ensure all software installations, patches, and updates are completed before deployment. Coordinate with IT teams to ensure seamless rollout of new equipment and system upgrades. Maintain an accurate inventory of IT assets and track deployments. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to staged hardware and software before distribution. Assist in planning and executing IT projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives. Work closely with internal teams and vendors to coordinate project deliverables and timelines. Track project progress, manage documentation, and provide status updates to stakeholders. Identify and mitigate potential risks in IT deployment projects. Support IT project testing and quality assurance activities. Maintain records of IT assets, including procurement, deployment, and lifecycle management. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of IT equipment and services. Assist in evaluating vendor performance and service agreements.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Strong knowledge of IT hardware, operating systems, and software deployment practices. Experience with IT inventory management and asset tracking systems. Familiarity with IT project management methodologies. Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT asset management, staging, or project coordination.
