As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Project Assistant to support our operations team on a part-time basis. Position Overview We are seeking a candidate with experience in the low-voltage or fire alarm/security industry who can handle essential back-office tasks related to project permitting and coordination. This role plays a vital part in ensuring our projects stay on track by managing paperwork, securing the correct permits, and keeping clients informed. Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit permit applications for alarm and low-voltage projects
  • Track permit statuses and follow up with municipalities as needed
  • Communicate with clients to deliver and explain permit documentation
  • Assist with project file management, scheduling updates, and administrative coordination
  • Maintain accurate digital and physical records for compliance
  • Coordinate with field technicians and project managers as needed
  • General back-office support related to ongoing projects and operations Requirements
  • Experience in the fire alarm, security, or low-voltage industry is required
  • Knowledge of permitting processes in South Florida (Broward, Miami-Dade, Palm Beach counties preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Comfortable communicating with clients, cities, and internal team members
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects at once
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PDFs, and digital documentation platforms Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Monday.com.
  • Familiarity with local building departments and permit portals
  • Previous experience working in a back-office/admin role for a contracting company Schedule & Compensation
