Performs related work as required. Reports Records Supervisor or another supervisor as assigned. Essential Functions Answers the telephone; provides accurate information to callers and/or forwards calls to appropriate staff person. Greets office visitors and performs customer/public service duties as required. Receives, transcribes, classifies, prepares, processes, types, copies, files, transmits and/or distributes daily all incoming records and reports to the records unit, which may include but are not limited to incident reports, police reports, general orders, detail rosters, statistical reports, special reports and summaries, traffic citations, accident/injury reports, statements, narrative reports, crime summaries, criminal activity forms, court date rosters, change forms, case summaries and queries, search warrants, arrest warrants, background checks, affidavits, etc. Forwards copies of records or reports to various individuals and agencies as required; assists officers in obtaining required information for court and other tasks. Ensures case files contain accurate and complete documentation as required. Prepares and/or proofreads reports. Researches and obtains copies of reports in files and computer upon request. Prepares and maintains various logs and files with accuracy. Processes records and reports for retention, retrieval, and expungement. Operates a variety of equipment, which includes a computer, printer, scanner, typewriter, copier, fax machine, telephone, calculator, camera, tape dubbing machine, transcription equipment, etc. Interacts and communicates with various groups and individuals, which may include the immediate supervisor, other department supervisors and employees, co workers, other City employees, court personnel, sales and service representatives, attorneys, government agencies, community groups, business owners, and the general public. Performs additional related duties as required and/or assigned. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or GED equivalent; 1-2 years of general clerical/administrative experience; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must be able to type with speed and accuracy. May require Notary Public certification.

Ability to demonstrate an understanding, consideration, and respect of cultural, religious, and gender differences when interacting with the general public and colleagues.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Requires light physical effort that may include lifting up to 10 pounds. Work is most commonly performed indoors or in an office environment.
CITY OF MIRAMAR
This is a union/represented position; the below summary of benefits provided by the City is applicable to all full-time positions covered under the G.A.M.E. Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA).
PAID TIME OFF
City
- Observed H olidays : Twelve (12) paid full-day holidays and two (2) paid half-day holidays (Christmas Eve and New Year’s Eve) per year
Personal Floating Holidays :
Five (5) paid full-day floating holidays to use in addition to the existing observed holidays
Sick Time:
Employees earn sick time at the rate of one (1) day per month.
Vacation Time:

Note:

RETIREMENT PLANS
Defined Benefit (Pension)
Plan :
A pension plan provides a guaranteed benefit at retirement if certain criteria are met. The amount of your future benefit is determined by a formula, based on earnings, length of service and Plan multiplier. Participation in the Pension Plan is mandatory for all full-time employees. The Summary Plan Description (SPD) provides more detailed information regarding the eligibility and benefits under the Plan; however, the below chart provides a highlight of the Plan. Plan :
A 457(b) plan is a tax advantaged deferral plan available for state and local government employees. Participating employees are able to defer compensation through regular payroll deductions and deposited into accounts (MissionSquare or Nationwide) that grow on a tax-free basis until withdrawn. Participation in the 457(b) Plan is optional; employees can enroll at any time.
SALARY INFORMATION
Salary Step Plan:
All G.A.M.E. positions follow a progressive Salary Step Plan. Newly hired employees start at Step 1 for their job classification then every year, on the employee’s anniversary date, the employee advances to the next Step in the Salary Step Plan, which provides an automatic increase in pay. Longevity Incentive:
