The Neighborhood Department is actively seeking a Community Development Coordinator.

The position reports directly to the Assistant Manager of Community Development in the Neighborhoods Department and is responsible for the contract administration and project management for the Housing and Community Development Division. Examples of Work
Primary responsibilities include the following: Coordinates and monitors contract and agreement administration activities for various projects.
Creates, tracks, and maintains project reports.
Researches and compiles data and prepares written reports and correspondence.
Prepares and delivers verbal, written and visual presentations.
Identifies and initiates innovative solutions to respond to customer requests for service.
Collaborates with other city departments/divisions to achieve strategic planning and project goals.
Develops recommendations and reports to include spreadsheets, graphs, and statistical analysis.
Prepares written correspondence to program providers, citizens, and inter-governmental agencies.
Communicates effectively verbally and in writing.
Performs related work as required.
Open Requirements/Supplemental Information
Four years of education and/or experience in project management, program administration, human services planning or a closely related field.
Experience in project management, program administration, or housing and community development programs is preferred.

Licensing/Certification/Registration:

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license during employment in this class.
Must qualify for, obtain, and maintain a City of Jacksonville public driver certification for employment in this class.
