A Front Office Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the coordination of key tasks to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of registration, charge capture, charge entry, claims submission, and follow-up. Additionally, they manage and coordinate the daily activities of the front office. Other duties include ensuring compliance with

HIPAA/OSHA

standards, identifying issues, and providing recommendations for resolution. The role requires individuals to demonstrate integrity, compassion, and a commitment to quality service. A Front Office Coordinator possesses a customer-service orientation, enthusiasm for finding solutions, and an ability to resolve issues in support of JCRM’s mission. Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee patient collections and eligibility, including copays, deductibles, and balances, and manage all activities related to the computer billing system, including coordinating improvement efforts. Ensure charts are properly prepared and all information is up to date. Maintain up-to-date consents, insurance ID cards, driver’s licenses, and patient photos in the EMR system. Verify that all demographic information is accurate at the time of patient check-in. Contact patients if they are late for their appointments to ensure smooth scheduling. Answer phones courteously before the fourth ring, addressing customer needs and resolving issues in a timely manner. Screen calls, arrange appointments, and redirect calls to the appropriate department as needed. Perform daily administrative tasks, including word processing, copying, filing, faxing, scanning, and responding to emails. Provide backup coverage for checkout duties when necessary, including scheduling appointments and sorting encounter sheets. Perform other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:

3-5 years of experience in a health care center. (preferred) 3-5 years of experience in direct customer service Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. High School Diploma or equivalent.

Physical Requirements:

Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment. Ability to position oneself to file documents and obtain supplies. Ability to converse with coworkers and patients.
