Summary We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team at True Value America. In this role, you will provide essential administrative support to ensure smooth operations at our new hardware store. Your contributions will help us maintain our commitment to excellent service and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Office Management:
This includes tasks like maintaining office supplies, managing the reception area, and ensuring the workspace is organized and functional.
Communication:
Administrative support staff handle phone calls, emails, and other forms of communication, often acting as the first point of contact for internal and external parties.
Scheduling:
They manage calendars, schedule appointments, meetings, and travel arrangements.
Document Management:
This involves creating, editing, and organizing documents, as well as maintaining filing systems.
Data Entry and Record Keeping:
They input and retrieve data from databases, and maintain accurate records of important information.
Basic Bookkeeping and Accounting:
Some administrative support roles include tasks like processing invoices, preparing bank deposits, and basic bookkeeping.
Customer Service:
In some cases, administrative support staff provide basic customer service, answering questions and resolving issues. Requirements Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role. Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Proficiency in computer literacy, including MS Office Suite or similar software. Experience with calendar management and scheduling is preferred. Attention to detail for proofreading documents is a plus.
