Summary We’re seeking a Contracting and Licensing Assistant to support our internal licensing team by managing agent contracting, carrier appointments, and license tracking. This role plays a critical part in keeping our operations compliant and efficient by ensuring that all licensing and documentation requirements are met across multiple states and carriers. Responsibilities Process agent and agency contracting paperwork with insurance carriers, including new appointments, renewals, and terminations. Verify and maintain producer licenses and carrier appointments across multiple states using tools such as NIPR, Sircon, and carrier portals. Track continuing education (CE) requirements and license expiration dates to ensure compliance. Assist with onboarding of new agents and producers by collecting required documentation and coordinating background checks and E&O insurance. Maintain and update internal databases and filing systems with licensing and contracting information. Communicate with agents, carriers, and internal departments to resolve licensing and appointment issues. Monitor and respond to inquiries regarding licensing status or compliance requirements. Generate compliance and licensing reports for internal audits or regulatory review. Assist with annual renewals and reappointments in accordance with state deadlines and carrier requirements. Requirements 1-3 years of experience in insurance contracting, licensing, or compliance Strong understanding of insurance industry regulations and producer licensing Familiarity with NIPR, Sircon, and common carrier portals Excellent organizational and data management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook High school diploma or equivalent required (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred) Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information If you are ready to make a meaningful impact in the insurance industry and help us continue our tradition of excellence, we invite you to apply for the Contracting and Licensing Assistant position at Open Access Insurance today!
