Development & Communications Assistant Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc. 1515 Michelin Court, Lutz, FL 33549

Job Summary:

Support the mission of Friends of Joshua House Foundation, Inc. by working with the Development Coordinator, as well as other FOJH Team Members, to ensure accurate records and communication to and from our donors through our donor database, social media and other methods. Duties and Responsibilities o Responsible for managing the accurate entry and maintenance of donor and donation information into/of the Donor Database(s) and email communication system(s). o Communicate with Donors and potential Donors through Social Media, as directed by the Development Coordinator or Management. o Manage gift acknowledgments by mail, phone, and/or electronically. o Create attractive, accurate, and engaging mass emails and b-annual newsletters to be sent to donors as directed by the Development Coordinator or Management. o Coordinate solicitation mailings to specific donors as directed by the Development Coordinator or Management. o Assist with planning & executing events: calling potential vendors, researching prices, searching for items online, setting up, greeting guests, directing volunteers and more. o Collect information from our on-site partners and create a weekly census. o Attend monthly Board meetings, take notes and create meeting minutes. Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Proficient knowledge in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external customers.

Must pass a Level 2+ background screening. Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 2+ years experience working experience
  • Experience with
Social Media:

Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn
