Position Summary The Senior Academic Services Administrator manages administrative support for a leading Nurse Anesthesiology Program and the largest Advanced Pain Management Fellowships in the US. This role involves supporting the Program and Fellowship Directors with student recruitment, advising, and coordinating large projects, meetings, events, and workshops. The Senior Academic Services Administrator collaborates with stakeholders within the college, university, and community, streamlines work processes for accreditation and operational efficiency and supervises support staff to manage workflow and ensure comprehensive program support.
This position requires a master’s degree in education, or a field of study related to the academic program and one (1) year of relevant academic experience, or a bachelor’s degree in those same fields with a minimum of three (3) years of experience. A public employer may include a postsecondary degree as a baseline requirement only as an alternative to the number of years of direct experience required, not to exceed: (a) Two years of direct experience for an associate degree; (b) Four years of direct experience for a bachelor’s degree; (c) Six years of direct experience for a master’s degree;(d) Seven years of direct experience for a professional degree; or (e) Nine years of direct experience for a doctoral degree Related work experience may not substitute for any required licensure, certification, or registration required for the position of employment as established by the public employer and indicated in the advertised description of the position of employment.•Minimum Qualifications that require a high school diploma are exempt from SB 1310. Program Coordination Oversee the support coordination of both the Nurse Anesthesiology Program and Advanced Pain Management Fellowship, ensuring compliance with COA and other accreditation standards. Lead the support and execution of large projects, including, but not limited to: curricular revisions, accreditation reports, and funding proposals, by synthesizing data and facilitating planning sessions. Direct the annual admissions cycle for both programs: manage applicant interviews, maintain admissions trackers, and ensure full enrollment. Facilitate the coordination of complex support tasks such as the NA DNP Projects and Cadaver Weekend to ensure timely completion and success. Assist in the coordination of clinical placements and on-boarding for the Advanced Pain Management Fellowship Advising and Compliance Advise on complex student issues, manage compliance with university policies, and coordinate with external bodies for program certification and student graduation processes. Administrative Management Oversee the maintenance of program websites, handbooks, and course materials, ensuring they meet educational standards and accreditation requirements. Manage high-level administrative tasks such as faculty and adjunct appointments, course scheduling for multiple cohorts, and significant event planning like orientations and annual meetings. Leadership and Supervision Supervise administrative support staff, providing guidance, managing workflow, and ensuring cross-coverage for program support. Collaborate with program directors to enhance operational efficiency, focusing on stakeholder engagement and workflow optimization. Strategic Support Support and help implement the programs’ continuous evaluation and improvement plans Coordinate timelines and stakeholder communications in both programs’ strategic efforts.
