5034 Position Vacancy Announcement Florida A&M University’s Office of the Controller is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Property Records Coordinator, Administrative Services vacancy. Responsibilities This position is responsible for overseeing administrative operations of Property Records; Prepares writ-off analysis and reports of missing property; Assists inventory specialist with ensuring locations are updated in location table; Responsible for conducting annual physical inventory; Responsible for coordinating satellite inventory; Prepares door barcode labels for buildings campus-wide; Provides inventory reconciliation and delinquent reports to the Accountable Officers, Deans, Vice Presidents, and Controller; Assists with training OPS, staffs, student workers, and property designee; Responsible for preparation of certification for Surplus Property assets; Reconciles surplus certification deletions in the Asset Management Module; Assists the Coordinator/Accountant with verifying proceeds posted in Asset Management; Back up the Property Coordinator/Accountant Position; Ensures that abandoned housing/security property is properly documented and disposed of; and, manage the Surplus Property Warehouse operation for redistribution of property to the University community. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in appropriate area of specialization and two years experience; or master’s degree in an appropriate area of specialization. Recommended Competencies Knowledge of Property and Accounting Management principles and practices; Basic clerical and communication skills; Ability to effectively communicate, both orally and in writing; and, Proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel, Word, and Access. Pay Plan This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
