Medical Front Office Assistant IDr Med Florida 6951 SW Highway 200, Ocala, FL 34476 Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Office Assistant to join our team in a dynamic healthcare environment. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental clinic. This position requires strong administrative skills, proficiency in managing medical records, and a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
BILINGUAL IS PREFERRED
Duties Assist with the preparation hospital outpatient charts. Manage patient scheduling and appointment confirmations. Perform administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and maintaining medical records. Serve as a medical receptionist, greeting patients and managing front desk operations. Utilize health information management systems to ensure accurate patient data entry. Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance information. Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations. Utilize software such as Eaglesoft for patient management and record keeping. Demonstrate proficiency in 10 key typing for efficient data entry. Answer phones, take accurate messages, forwarded messages multiphone lines Qualifications Previous experience in a medical office or dental clinic setting is preferred. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks. Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other administrative software.
