- Provide excellent customer service to callers Child Support Services calls: Listen to callers to ascertain informational needs and use knowledge of Automated Case Tracking System (ACTS) screens to find correct answers Maintain courteous attitude when dealing with difficult callers -Use tact and diplomacy to diffuse emotional or antagonistic situations Understand and explain to clients, non-custodial parents and employers Child Support Services (CSS) policies and their application to individual cases Regularly review manuals and policy updates to ensure personal practices are current and correct Understand and appreciate the confidential nature of CSS information Maintain a professional attitude with employers and other child support offices both within and out of state to ensure cooperation and understanding of CSS policies Determine appropriate referral action based on caller’s requests • Data entry: Update Automated Case Tracking System (ACTS) with address changes, employment status and other information Enter appropriately worded event notes into ACTS to document interactions Determine if child support agent work list is needed and send properly drafted work lists Generate ACTS documents for callers About the Division of Social Services (DSS): The Division of Social Services (DSS) provides direct services that address issues of poverty, family violence and exploitation.
