About Us Simi Capital Group is a vertically integrated real estate investment and development firm with a growing national portfolio. We specialize in the acquisition, development, and management of multifamily and industrial properties across diverse markets. We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Administrative Assistant to join our team and support both the day-to-day operations of the business and our property management platform. Job description Simi Capital Group is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Associate to join our growing team. This individual will report directly to the Vice President and Managing Partners and will play a critical role in executing the firm’s real estate investment strategy, with a focus on industrial real estate-particularly Industrial Outdoor Storage (IOS), logistics, and light industrial assets. The Senior Associate will support all aspects of the deal lifecycle, including sourcing, underwriting, due diligence, leasing, and asset management of both existing properties and new acquisitions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in real estate financial modeling, a working knowledge of industrial lease structures and capital markets, and the ability to manage complex projects across multiple functional teams. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment and contribute meaningfully to the growth and success of a vertically integrated investment and operating platform. Key responsibilities will include market research and analysis, financial underwriting, preparing investment committee materials, supporting lease negotiations, and coordinating with property management and third-party consultants to optimize asset performance. The Senior Associate will also help identify and evaluate new investment opportunities, assist in capital raising efforts, and monitor ongoing performance across the firm’s portfolio. While the role emphasizes advanced financial modeling and investment analysis, it also offers a unique opportunity to gain broad exposure across industrial, multifamily, and retail real estate asset classes. This is an ideal position for a highly motivated individual looking to contribute meaningfully to a high-growth company while working alongside experienced senior leadership. Responsibilities Identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities across targeted industrial outdoor storage (IOS), light industrial, and logistics-oriented assets in our key markets. Develop and maintain strong broker, tenant, and owner relationships to source off-market and marketed industrial real estate opportunities. Lead underwriting efforts including financial modeling, market comparable, lease analysis, and sensitivity analysis to support investment decisions. Support negotiations and execution of purchase and sale agreements, lease agreements in coordination with legal counsel and senior leadership. Actively manage the leasing strategy for assigned assets to maximize NOI and long-term asset value. This includes sourcing tenants, negotiating lease terms, and overseeing the lease execution process. Interface regularly with existing and prospective industrial tenants (including logistics, transportation, construction, and outdoor storage operators) to ensure alignment with asset business plans. Collaborate with asset management to formulate and implement business plans for new acquisitions and existing properties, with an emphasis on leasing velocity, expense control, and capital project execution. Work closely with property management and third-party vendors to monitor operational performance, site conditions, and capital expenditures. Conduct site visits to assess property conditions, meet with tenants, and understand submarket dynamics. Participate in monthly and quarterly reporting, including financial performance, leasing updates, and capital improvement progress for internal stakeholders and investors. Coordinate with internal teams (legal, construction, finance, and development) to ensure seamless execution of acquisition, leasing, and asset-level initiatives. Stay current on industrial real estate market trends, tenant demand drivers, and competitive properties in relevant markets. Qualifications 5-7 years of relevant experience in industrial real estate acquisitions, leasing, or asset management. Demonstrated track record. Established relationships with national and regional industrial tenants, brokers, and ownership groups. Deep understanding of lease structures, industrial site requirements (e.g., outdoor storage, truck courts, yard space), and deal negotiation. Self-motivated, results-driven, and entrepreneurial with the ability to work independently and collaboratively. Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and real estate underwriting/lease management systems. Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, or a related field.
