The successful candidate will be hired at the minimum salary. As an Administrative Assistant for the Translation and Interpretation Department, responsibilities include handling many incoming calls per day, dispatching interpreters to over 40 courtrooms for daily Zoom and in-person assignments as well as for additional incoming interpreter requests. Assigns interpreters to various locations to conduct depositions, interviews, telephone translations, and psychological evaluations via Zoom and Prevail applications. Maintains rotation lists for interpreter assignments via Teams chat, ensuring that all assignments are covered properly, while conducting general administrative duties. This position is eligible for a hybrid remote work/onsite schedule after a 90-day period, as outlined by existing Circuit policies and procedures. Responsibilities Handles incoming calls to the Department. Dispatches interpreters to respective courtrooms. Miscellaneous office work. Coordinates interpreter jail assignments for psychological evaluations with doctors that have been assigned to Defendants at different jail facilities throughout the county through the Jail Facility video line, phone translation, and or Zoom. Performs other office and administrative tasks as required. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four year college or university. One (1) year of work experience in business administration, office skills, or a related field. Additional relevant experience may substitute for the recommended educational level on a year-for-year basis. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Performs dispatcher/receptionist duties for the Translation and Interpretation Department. Manages incoming and outgoing calls related to the assignment of interpreters. Maintains rotation lists for current and future assignments. Keeps an open line of communication with supervisors via e-mail and/or during one-on-one meetings. Adheres to the policies and procedures delineated in the Employee Handbook. Adheres to departmental policies and directives and observe office work hours. Completes and submits monthly payroll timesheet by the designated due date.

Work involves a significant amount of standing, walking, sitting, talking and listening; Must be able to transfer up to 10 pounds.
