REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
3-10 years relevant experience
Secret Clearance (US Citizenship required)
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, expert attention-to-detail & highly organized
Maintain or ability to acquire Secret Security Clearance
Knowledge of AF instructions and operations
Professional experience in administrative duties & office organization
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS
Prefer prior AF experience and/or experience in laboratory setting working with scientists and engineers
Prefer prior administrative experience, working with highly technical information
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide advisory and assistance support to
AFRL/RWTS
Branch level offices by managing non-personal administrative functions and providing office organization support.
Capable of identifying problems and recommending solutions with minimal supervision.
Knowledge of AF directives and procedures in support of management and preparation of Government documentation and proficiency in office organization and management.
Perform specific routine actions creating, managing, and maintaining databases to include but not limited to tracking status of office tasks, internal and external suspenses, equipment inventory, training, distributing office mail, and reviewing correspondence for correction of deficiencies.
Provide management and maintenance support for office official bulletins, displays, and announcements.
Advise and assist in establishing and maintaining file plans for Government approval.
Assist in reviewing Temporary Duty (TDY) Orders for compliance with AF directives and processes for AFRL/RW personnel.
Consolidate and prepare orders for processing and distribute approved orders and tickets to travelers. Draft request for TDY orders and submit for approval.
Assist in meeting organization and preparation, which includes developing agenda and presentations, scheduling, and preparation of meeting venue, contacting participants, deconflicting schedules, recording and tracking action items, and performing venue access and security duties.
Advise and assist RWTS Branch staff with monitoring commitments made at meetings, then provide support in adjusting appointments and calendars to minimize conflicts in scheduling.
Advise and assist in preparing and finalizing a wide variety of recurring and nonrecurring correspondence, reports, recall rosters and other documents, determining and modifying format, content, and frequency of requirements from information obtained from staff and other sources.
Advise and assist in composing and preparing nontechnical and some technical correspondence such as requests for information concerning the organization’s mission and programs, office procedures, letters of appreciation, commendations, or notifications. Coordinating/forwarding correspondence to appropriate offices and updating the correspondence tracking systems and suspense files.
Assist in reviewing all correspondence thoroughly to ensure correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, and punctuation.
Assist the security manager by updating end-of-day security checklists and rosters, conducting and reporting weekly Random Anti-terrorism Measures (RAM), supporting security inspections, identifying deficiencies in the controlled area security and coordinating solutions with the security manager and site ops/infrastructure team
Must be able to work independently in the execution of these requirements
Primary work location will be RWTS Office at Eglin AFB. Support for off-site events in the local area during normal work hours may be required on an infrequent, ad-hoc basis.
