POSITION SUMMARY

This position is in the Orlando Regional Operations Center. The incumbent will work independently assisting management by providing analysis and research on a variety of administrative matters. Work involves assignments which are broad as to objective and content and require independently making decisions and obtaining solutions by operating within well-established policies, laws, rules, and guidelines.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Specific duties include: Maintaining current administrative files to include all correspondence, investigative case files, and other administrative information;
Planning, initiating, and completing administrative duties;
Extracting, collating, and merging stored information in database as required. Reviewing records and reports which require action and recommending solutions or courses of action;
Organizing and preparing electronic investigative case books (E-Books) utilizing Adobe Acrobat, or other related computer software programs;
Scanning documentary evidence. Revising and updating lengthy materials;
Performing data base inquiries for investigators/supervisors;
Assisting in conducting daily administrative activities and/or directing special projects or activities;
Caring for the custody and control of all property assigned; and
Reading and acknowledging FDLE Policies & Procedures within 30 workdays of employment or 30 workdays of issuance of revised policies.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Knowledge of administrative principles and practices;
Knowledge of office procedures and practices; Knowledge of the methods of data collection; Knowledge of the principles and techniques of effective communication;
Ability to collect, evaluate and analyze data relating to administrative functions such as accounting, personnel, purchasing or report writing; Ability to plan, organize and coordinate work assignments; Ability to communicate effectively; and
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

BASE SALARY

$36,050.00

NOTES:

Starting salary will be at the minimum of the class pay range, unless otherwise dictated by FDLE’s pay policy. The elements of this selection process may include a work sample and/or interview. Future vacancies may be filled from this position advertisement.
