We are seeking a dental insurance coordinator who holds that same value and wants to help our dental clinic serve our patients more efficiently and more compassionately. The ideal insurance coordinator candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized, and well versed in dental PPO plans. They will focus on insurance tasks such as verifying insurance, inputting insurance information into the system, understanding insurance breakdowns, submitting claims, and processing claim appeals. Basic front desk responsibilities will include scheduling appointments, answering the phones, addressing patient concerns, collecting copays and past due balances, and providing first in class patient care. A dental insurance coordinator needs to have excellent interpersonal skills as well as the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Insurance Coordinator Responsibilities & Duties Create, establish, and manage internal office protocols and procedures to ensure office efficiency. Respond to patients’ needs and manage billing systems. Greet and serve all patients as they arrive. Motivate office personnel to serve patients. Oversee the processing of insurance and secondary insurance claims. Assist patients with applying for credit and other financial assistance. Provide the Dentist with administrative and practical support when asked. Patient Coordinator Qualifications & Skills Diploma required Dental experience preferred Open Dental knowledge a plus Excellent customer service and leadership skills Ability to multi-task efficiently Excellent computer and typing skills
